Saving Money is in Season

Look, I do know a few people left that still use the rabbit ears and absolutely refuse to pay for cable or any monthly television service. For those people, I tip my hat. Seriously, television has become such a racket and let’s be honest, it’s probably not the best use of our time. However, I’ve had some sort of pay television service for as long as I can remember. I’ve had DIRECT TV, Verizon Fios, and Time Warner Cable.

The best advice I can give is to go for value. DIRECTTV has the NFL Ticket and that is a pretty nice deal. I love flipping back and forth between games. Verizon has a great bundle plan and Time Warner is somewhat price competitive but not currently offered in my area. DIRECTV claims that they can match Verizon’s bundle plan. You hear all of the jokes about bundling but it really can save you some money. If you can consolidate your phone, internet and television for under 85 dollars, you’re doing pretty well.

Currently, on television alone, Directv is offering deals under 30 per month… which is pretty good comparison to prices I’ve paid in the past. I guess the point is to be aware that prices are coming down and you need to take advantage of the changing market.
